Song Saa Private Island, Cambodia

Based around a secluded archipelago, the exclusive villas on this private island were built with sustainability in mind. Crafted from reclaimed timber, the dΓ©cor is upcycled. Turn on oil drums masked as lamps, sit on a rustic driftwood bench, lay under linen-clad canopy beds or walk across fishing boat floors. Beach cleans take place twice a day and you can pick up debris from the ocean if you decide to go kayaking.

Why we love them:

Song Saa is the height of first-class ethical travel. The Song Saa Foundation not only supports local children’s education, but also conserves wildlife, like turtles. We particularly love the preserved coral reef.
