Song Saa Private Island, Cambodia
Based around a secluded archipelago, the exclusive villas on this private island were built with sustainability in mind. Crafted from reclaimed timber, the décor is upcycled. Turn on oil drums masked as lamps, sit on a rustic driftwood bench, lay under linen-clad canopy beds or walk across fishing boat floors. Beach cleans take place twice a day and you can pick up debris from the ocean if you decide to go kayaking.
Why we love them:
Song Saa is the height of first-class ethical travel. The Song Saa Foundation not only supports local children’s education, but also conserves wildlife, like turtles. We particularly love the preserved coral reef.
