Samudra - ocean plastic regenerated activewear

Born in the 2020 Lockdown, Samudra is an ethical and sustainable activewear brand that transforms discarded ocean plastic pollution into workout clothing. Samudra's mission is to protect the oceans and reduce "fast fashion" by creating sustainable pieces that last a lifetime.

The garments are made from ECONYL® - regenerated ocean plastic and nylon waste - which are then remodelled into a variety of high-spec fabrics meaning there is no waste or no new resources used.

The name "Samudra" means "the gathering together of waters" in Hindu. The brand gives back to the culture by supporting communities in South and Southeast Asia through selling 100% recycled t-shirts and canvas bags made ethically in India.

This female founded brand supports gender-equality and donates 5% of its profits to female-focused marine conservation projects and uses suppliers who share the same ethos. Samundra's ethical factory is based in London and also has a female majority workforce in place.
