VEJA

The idea behind cult sneaker brand, veja, is to have one foot in design and one in social responsibility. They use sustainable organic cotton which is purchased by VEJA directly, respecting fair trade principles, before it is woven into the canvas and uppers used in many of their models. The natural rubber that they use for the sole of their sneakers comes from the Amazon and since 2004, VEJA have purchased 195 tons of wild rubber, which has allowed them to preserve 120 000 hectares of the Amazon forest.

Why we love them: Super comfortable and perfect with jeans and summer dresses. Their website is full of their brand ethos, transparency surrounding their workers and production line, and information on how their helping to protect valuable areas of the Amazon forest.
